"The Girl"

The girl you see looks not like anyone
Nobody knows how it begun
A long time ago she looked almost like you
Then a witch came and scared her "Boooo"
The girl was frightened and tried to run away
The witch held her and said, "Listen to what I have to say"
"I can make you beautiful", so the ugly witch had spoken,
"More beautiful", she said and took out a magic token
"You, little girl will have to give me your soul"
Laughed the witch so near was her goal
But the girl was frightened and said "No"
This made anger turn the witch's eye
And out of her mouth came a magic cry,
"Your hair, so beautiful in taupe,
Shall now look like wire rope
And for the fun of it all
You shall never grow tall;
Your nose will be the one of a clown
And you shall never wear a crown.
Forever shall you look like this."
And, angry, off went the ugly witch " hisssssssss….."
The girl was sad
No one could help, not even Dad
A beautiful prince who came along
Heard her sing such a sad, sad song
He didn't care about her nose
And gave the girl a golden rose;
Nor did he care about her hair
Only in her eyes he'd glare.
He saw into her eyes so deep
And he saw that she the clown did weep
He kissed the girl with Oh such love
From heaven above, he took a silver dove.
The dove touched the girl with gentle aim
And made the girl look like you again.
The witch who did not succeed
Had to turn to ashes, that's what she got for her greed
The witch is no longer here
Don't be afraid and show no fear.
The girl loved her prince oh so deep
It even made me weep.
